Fairfax Futures is thrilled to announce a $10,000 grant award from the Cloudbreak Foundation Inc. The funding will support a one-year project to expand and promote early childhood developmental and social-emotional screeners to support children’s school readiness. Through this generous grant, Fairfax Futures will partner with Fairfax County’s Office for Children to train up to 100 early childhood educators on how to use and apply the Ages & Stages Questionnaires—reliable screening tools to measure children’s development. This work directly supports the county’s Equitable School Readiness Strategic Plan and will help inform the provision of services for individual children and families.
