Fairfax Futures Welcomes New Board Member

Fairfax Futures welcomes Keisha R. Dotson to its Board of Directors.  With a passion for serving her community, Dotson has dedicated over 20 years of her career serving the residents of Fairfax County, Virginia. Over her professional career, she has held various positions in the human services field, ranging from providing mental health care to adults to coordinating emergency assistance of basic needs to delivering strategic direction, program development and management. As Fairfax County Government’s new Deputy Director in the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS), she provides leadership and strategic direction to the Early Childhood Education (Child Care Assistance and Referral, Community Education and Provider Services, Head Start and Early Head Start, School Readiness, Employees’ Child Care Center) and the Inclusive Support Services (Infant Toddler Connection, Therapeutic Recreation, Adult Day Health Centers) divisions. Dotson received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Education degrees from Old Dominion University. She earned a Certified Public Manager certification upon completion of the Regional Executive Development Program in partnership with the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and George Washington University.
